I flew to San Francisco Sunday for a few days of meetings. It had been raining for several days here. Happily, the skies were blue and dotted with clouds when my plane landed. Coincidence? Maybe.
Amazingly, even at the airport I caught a whiff of pine and jasmine in the clear air. The smell of nature is one of my favorite things about this part of the country. It's one of the things I really miss living on the isle of Manhattan.
I spent several post-arrival hours arrival at the Eagle for the Sunday afternoon Beer Bust. I even drank 1.5 beers! If I listed all of the friends I saw there, you'd think I was showing off. Suffice it to say, fun was had by all ... expecially me. It's nice being bi-coastal-ish.
Good to know that everything's up to date in SF. Did Seabiscuit just open there? (See billboard above The Eagle.) I know there's a time lag between NYC and the smaller, more provincial markets, but still ...
