David -- You may not remember this, but when I first heard about the Boston/NY AIDS ride back in .. 1995? .. I asked if you wanted to do it, and it just wasn't the right time for you. I did it for three years, and it changed my life in many ways. Glad your time has come. You'll have a wonderful experience, trust me. And my check is in the mail.

Indeed. Of course I remember you doing the rides. I watched you finish at least one of those years. Thanks for the support!

Congratulations on taking on such a noble endeavor - I look forward to cycling with you as we take on those 575 miles, 3000 cyclist, San Francisco to Los Angeles.
